Hello and welcome to Evergreen Therapy.
I am a CPCAB qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) . I began my counselling training journey after working for the NHS, where I experienced first hand the challenges in relation to mental health awareness and support. I felt inspired to expand and deepen my knowledge of mental health, with a focus to provide support to those who wish to explore their difficulties and work towards making a positive change for themselves.
I believe we are all unique individuals and experience the impact of life and its challenges in varying ways. I feel it's important to offer my clients a counselling environment that facilitates safety and confidentiality, along with empathy, warmth and a place to be heard, enabling my clients to feel comfortable and at ease.
I have clinical experience of working with clients who are experiencing negative thoughts, low mood, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and confidence issues. I have supported clients to improve relations through sharing relationship and communication theory and tools.
During my training I volunteered for a local Bucks charity providing counselling to survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and domestic violence. I have facilitated psychoeducation sessions to help clients understand their own responses to trauma, improving stabilisation, emotional regulation and tolerance.
I am currently working in collaboration with Harry's Pals offering counselling to parent carers of severely ill or disabled children. https://harryspals.co.uk/
I will also be working with New Pathways in the near future as a sessional counsellor working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse. https://www.newpathways.org.uk/
I am a registered and accredited member of The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.
